ROB ZOMBIE Explains Why He Decided To Take Part In This Year's OZZFEST
June 7, 2005Launch Radio Networks reports: With his second movie, "The Devil's Rejects", opening in July and a new studio album still to be completed, you might think Rob Zombie has enough on his plate. But instead, Zombie is also headlining the second stage of Ozzfest 2005. The rocker-turned-filmmaker told Launch why he decided to spend his summer on the road. "The timing was good, because the movie will be completely done," he said. "There'll be nothing more to do and I'll have enough time where I wouldn't jump into the next thing yet. And the main thing was just the idea of headlining second stage, is what really attracted me."
Ozzfest 2005 begins on July 15 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
Written and directed by Zombie, "The Devil's Rejects" is a loose sequel to his 2003 directorial debut, "House Of 1000 Corpses". The film opens in theatres on July 22.
Zombie recently told Rolling Stone that he'll finish his new album this fall after Ozzfest is over. Among the people who have played on the record so far are LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland, MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee and A PERFECT CIRCLE drummer Josh Freese.
